How we collect and verify fares

Where the numbers on this site come from, how often they change, and what "cheap" actually means here.

Where our prices come from

Flight prices shown on piso-fare.com are sourced from Travelpayouts and Aviasales, which aggregate real fare-search data across airlines and travel agencies. These are cached search results, not a live booking feed — so the price shown on a route page is a strong, recently-verified indicator, but the confirmed price is always the one shown on the airline or agency's own booking page before you pay.

📌 Always double-check the final price at checkout before paying. Fares can sell out or reprice between when we last checked and when you click through.

How often prices update

Every route we track is checked automatically once a day. Each check records that day's lowest fare into that route's price history, which is how we can show trends like "cheapest seen this year" or a 30-day price chart rather than just a single snapshot.

The homepage's "Last updated" timestamp reflects the most recent check across all tracked routes.

What counts as a "deal"

We use two different bars, depending on where you see the fare:

Piso fare / hot deal alerts — a route is flagged for our email alerts when the fare drops to or below a fixed threshold: ₱1,500 for domestic routes and ₱3,000 for international routes. These thresholds are deliberately simple and consistent, so "you'll get an alert" means the same thing on every route.
Deal scoring on route pages — the score shown next to a fare (e.g. "Deal Score: 91/100") is relative to that specific route's own recent average, not the fixed thresholds above. A fare well below a route's normal 30–90 day average scores higher, even on routes where ₱1,500 or ₱3,000 would never realistically happen (e.g. long-haul international).

Both methods use the same underlying data — we just apply it two different ways depending on the context.

Corrections

If you spot a fare, route, or airport code that looks wrong, or a page that hasn't updated when it should have, please let us know. We'd rather fix it than leave it standing.

Affiliate disclosure

piso-fare.com earns a commission through Travelpayouts when a booking is made via a link on this site. This is paid by the airline or agency and does not change the price you're quoted. It also doesn't influence which fares we track, display, or alert on — a fare either meets the criteria above or it doesn't. See our About page for more on how the site is funded.
