Cebu Pacific lands at klia2, not KLIA Terminal 1 — and they're a 15-minute bus ride apart. klia2 is the budget terminal used by Cebu Pacific, AirAsia Philippines, and Scoot. KLIA Terminal 1 is where Malaysia Airlines, Philippine Airlines, and Batik Air land. Many first-time Filipino travellers to KL check the arrivals board at the wrong terminal or book a Grab pickup from the wrong building on the way home. Always check your booking confirmation for the terminal. The KLIA Ekspres train stops at both terminals — klia2's stop is "KLIA2", not "KUL". Getting confused adds at least an hour to your journey.
The MDAC must be done within 3 days of your arrival — not earlier, and not at the KLIA counter. The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card replaced the paper arrival form and is now mandatory for all Filipino visitors. Submit it at imigresen-online.imi.gov.my within the 72 hours before your scheduled arrival time. If you submit it too early, the system rejects it and you'll need to resubmit.
