There is no direct Manila–San Vicente flight
San Vicente Airport (SWL) exists and takes commercial traffic, but its only scheduled route today is Cebgo's San Vicente–Cebu flight, three times a week (Tue/Thu/Sun) — a leftover of a route built for Visayas traffic, not Manila. For a Manila-origin trip, flying into Cebu first and backtracking to Palawan makes no sense on cost or time. The two options below are what actually work.

Some travel sites index SWL as a bookable airport and Manila travellers assume there must be a route in. The only flight touching SWL right now goes to Cebu, three times a week, operated by Cebgo. Unless your trip genuinely starts or passes through Cebu, this flight is not part of your itinerary — don't book PPS and SWL legs separately expecting them to connect.
There is currently no ATM in San Vicente's poblacion. A couple of Euronet machines have shown up in Port Barton village, but they run out of cash or go offline for days at a time — do not plan your trip around them. Withdraw everything you'll need in Puerto Princesa or El Nido before you leave. Most guesthouses, tour operators, and carinderias are cash-only; only a handful of higher-end resorts take cards.
San Vicente's local government currently requires a booked, accredited accommodation to enter the municipality — it's not just a suggestion. Travellers who plan to "figure it out when they get there" have been turned back or delayed at checkpoints. Book your guesthouse or resort before you leave Puerto Princesa, not on the van.
The 120km of highway between Puerto Princesa and the San Jose junction is smooth, but the last stretch into San Vicente winds through hills and forest with sharp curves. Vans move fast to make up time. Bring Bonamine or a similar tablet if you're prone to car sickness, and a neck pillow if you want any chance of sleeping through it.
