Senior Citizens and Youngsters can Fly to Any Location Served by AirAsia Philippines

Following the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 143, which places the National Capital Region (NCR) under Alert Level 3 from October 16 to October 31, 2021, allowing point-to-point interzonal travel, senior citizens (65 years old and above) and children under the age of 18 may now finally fly to spend time with families in different AirAsia Philippines destinations.

A Metro Manila Council Resolution No. 21-24 released on October 19, 2021, allows these age groups to travel intra and inter-zonally as well. Minors and senior people must be accompanied by their parents or guardians. To date, 12 AirAsia Philippines destinations have begun to accept senior persons and minors under the age of 18: Bacolod, Bohol, Boracay, Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Kalibo, Puerto Princesa, Tacloban, and Zamboanga. Guests flying from the NCR to these places, however, must still comply with the various entrance restrictions set by the local government units of their destinations and must check airasia’s flysafe page for updated travel information on a regular basis.

AirAsia Philippines will maintain daily flights from Manila to Boracay, Cebu, and Tacloban to accommodate the increased passenger load. The airline will continue to travel to Iloilo (4 times each week), Davao, Bohol, and Zamboanga (3 times per week), Puerto Princesa, Bacolod, and General Santos City (2 times per week).
